- Are XProlube engine oils API licensed?
- XProlube finished motor oils are manufactured under API Engine Oil Licensing and Certification System (EOLCS) license No. 2738 — an active license (current term through March 31, 2027) under which the Synthex brand is also licensed. The applicable API service categories are shown on each product (for example, API SQ for gasoline engines and API CK-4 for heavy-duty diesel engines), consistent with the licensed scope. You can verify license No. 2738 in API's public EOLCS Directory of Licensees at engineoil.api.org.
